Gladiatores: Blood for Roses

Gladiatores – The different Ludus or Gladiator Schools (players) bid for gladiators, prepare them and compete against each other in the arena battles! Choose how many rounds the game will last, select player order, your Ludus and make bids to buy a fighter. Each gladiator comes with their own special ability and a unique set of attack, defence and effect cards, these abilities can be influenced by Sponsor cards (optional). Next you bet in secret on the ultimate winner and then the gladiators face off against each other. Each round consists of one on one battles in Ludus order by laying attack and reaction cards. The round ends when only one gladiator is left standing, money wreaths are distributed depending on how well your gladiator fairs , how much crowd favour you have collected and your secret betting result. The decks are then reset and the next round commences. Continue until all pre-determined rounds are complete. The winner is the Ludus with the most money wreaths.
