Hunter and Hunted: The World of Hounded
The Fox has outlasted a thousand hunters with his swiftness and cunning.
The Master of Hounds never loses his prey.
Step into their shoes for a day, and see who triumphs in the end.
On the Trail: Gameplay Basics
In Hounded, one player controls the Fox, and the other player controls the Master of Hounds and his dogs. The goal is simple: the Fox tries to survive the day, while the Master of Hounds strives to catch him.
The players take turns moving over the randomly placed land tiles. Special effects for each piece and special land tiles add variety to the hunt.
Hounded features unique win conditions for each player. The Fox wins by revealing three time tiles on the board, or by landing on and turning over 43 tiles of any kind. The Master of Hounds wins by trapping the Fox or by forcing the Fox to end a turn in a space adjacent to the Master.
Who will win the day? The hunt is on!

Really fun little game
This is a really fun and engaging game. I love that it all fits in a tiny tin and I love the design and artwork. The hunting party and the fox use different strategies so gameplay is quite dynamic.

Great game!
Great, easy 2 player game to learn. I do feel it may be a bit unbalanced, which could be beneficial in many cases to teach strategy games. I love the theme and how the rules follow the theme appropriately.

Great for casual play.
It’s a cute little game made of really good quality stock and wood. The aesthetic is unique and the rules are pretty simple for a modern abstract strategy game. It’s a little unbalanced in favor of the fox, but I wouldn’t let that stop you if you are wanting a solid 2 player game.

It’s a fun game for a group of thinkers
A clever, chess-like game with a unique concept. Play either the hunter or the fox. The object is to entrap the fox with your hounds (if you’re the hunter) or evade the hunter (if you’re the fox). As in chess, each piece moves differently. This leads to interesting strategic complexity. It’s a fun game for a group of thinkers.

It’s Just OK
Lots of directions and things to remember while playing. I found it confusing.
