Skull King – Players will set sail and fight on the high seas and play cards attempting to win as many tricks as possible and score points, there’s even the possibility of invoking the right of parley. Lasting 10 rounds, the round number determines the number of cards dealt to each player. Firstly, players bid on how many tricks they think they will win that round, then the first player plays a card and this becomes the trump suit for the round. All other players, in turn order, play all cards from their hand with some cards scoring nothing while others have special abilities that can trump the trump suit. But whoever is able to play the rare Skull King card is guaranteed to win the round. Points are tallied up, added to the score sheet and the next round commences. The player with the most points at the end of the game is declared the mightiest and wins.

Skull King – is a thoroughly competitive, rowdy, and exciting trick taking game that is very easy to pick up and engages everyone. The thematic artwork is cracking and allows players to immerse themselves in the scandalous world of pirates and skulduggery. This re-incantation from Grandpa Beck’s, the original designer of the game, also comes with the legendary expansion which includes, amongst other characters, Mermaids – who can beat the Skull King, so now nothing is guaranteed.
