We absolutely love this game. Once you know what all the cards mean it’s really easy to play but highly addictive and competitive. My boys are 8 and 10 and they love it!

The game is very fun with a group. You can have a laugh whether you think about strategy or see what happens. I recommend having someone learn the rules as there are a couple of things to understand. The cards and components are high quality and nothing about it disappointed me.

This is a terrific trick taking card game with many thoughtful add-ons (including blank cards for making your own). Play a few dummy hands to familiarise yourself with the bonus point system but after that just start playing for real and enjoy the ride. If you’ve ever played “Wizard”, then this is like “Wizard +” with the added bonus of being playable by two people. Highly recommend it. This is my second Grandpa Becks game (Bears and Bees being the other) and I feel sorely tempted to try more of their offerings

Very solid trick taking game. Not as good as the crew (both editions) but still is very good.Enjoyed at all player counts, even two.Scoring isn’t overly difficult and there are player aids to remember. Also very good tutorial on YouTube.

This is a really good ‘trick taking’ game. It’s easy to learn and play and a lot of fun too. Once mastered a game will take you around 30 mins so it’s a good choice as a starter for a games night or if you just want a quick, entertaining game or two. The product is well made and the graphics are nice. Ahhhr me hearties!

The previous edition of this game was very good, but this latest edition – with new artwork and extra cards – is even better. A great little game with now plenty of options. Recommended.

Introduced to this game by a colleague who is a bowed game enthusiast.. picked up by a friend group of 7 easily and loved. Thoroughly entertaining. Great as works for groups of 3-8 and can be adapted to get more complicated the more comfortable you are with the game.. I even bought it for my parents house so that they’d stop digging out Cluedo or cards… they loved it too. Funny as when I mentioned it to my colleague he had only played it once before buying it himself too… 100% recommend fun easy to get into game.

Don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed the game, but we played it as a family on Boxing Day so everyone was in good spirits . However, I’m not sure if any one of us will pick it up again because of the overly complex rules. You have to refer to them so much if you’re new to it, like we were. It was enjoyable, but not as much as it should have been. “Dad, what does this card do again?” “Dad, does this card beat that card?” “So how many points do I score?” And I wasn’t sure so constantly looking at the rules was slightly infuriating and made the game drag somewhat. Bear in mind that not only is this a trick taking game which is easy but then special cards gazump others and some can be played as what you choose, but on top of that you need to predict how many tricks you’ll win and there’s a scoring system based on that which is crazy to get your head around because it doesn’t seem to be fair. We made our own scoring up in the end and enjoyed it.

We love it, it takes a few games to get the gist but we play it every school holiday!
